Post-Call Follow-Up

The recap email decides whether the call mattered. This playbook transcribes the meeting, pulls out decisions and commitments by speaker, drafts a follow-up tuned to each attendee's role, and writes the summary back to the opportunity or account record before the rep gets to their next call.

The problem

Reps either type through the meeting and miss the room, or they listen properly and ship the recap two days later with half the commitments wrong. Gong and Chorus capture the call, but the follow-up still lives in the rep's head until they find an hour to write it.

How DataChi runs it

DataCHI joins Zoom, Meet, and Teams with consent and recording disclosures handled, or pulls transcripts from Gong, Chorus, and Fathom where those are already in place. It identifies decisions, owners, and dates, drafts per-attendee follow-ups in the rep's voice, and updates the opportunity in Salesforce or HubSpot with the call summary, next steps, and any MEDDIC or stage-gate fields the rep would have filled in by hand.

What's included

  • Native joiners for Zoom, Meet, and Teams with consent prompts
  • Transcript pull-through from Gong, Chorus, Fathom, and Otter
  • Speaker-attributed extraction of decisions, commitments, and dates
  • Per-attendee follow-up drafts in the rep's tone and signature
  • CRM write-back for call summary, next steps, and stage-gate fields
  • Multilingual transcription and summary for global teams

Who it's for

AEs, CSMs, account managers, and consultants whose pipeline moves on whether the recap goes out the same day.

Outcomes

  • Recap email sent the hour the call ends
  • Reps back to listening on the call instead of typing through it
